About the Conservative Granola
Welcome! I’m a mother of 3 and devoted wife. My family lives tucked away in the mountains of Wolf Creek, MT. People ask me, "why the name?" Well, we grow the majority of our vegetables on our family's small farm, hunt for our meat and buy organic at the grocery store for anything else we need. I go natural on everything and make most of the teas and medicines in my families medicine cabinet. I check labels for toxins and don't let my kids eat dyes. We play in the dirt, watch the stars, raise chickens and marvel at the beauty of God's perfect earth. I am a total 'Granola'. However, you wont catch this hippie chick at the market with no bra or hairy pits, I hate the smell of patchouli, I think riding a bike naked at burning man is gross and that walking around without shoes is unacceptable if you’re over the age of 5. I pay Uncle Sam, salute the flag, cry during the anthem, scream wildly at rodeos and I love Jesus with all my heart and soul. I teach my children the importance of forgiveness, kindness and love but I don't leave the house without a pistol. I am the 'Conservative Granola.'
What we do
We are a family run business that makes home made, natural, salves, balms and beauty products from local, medicinal plants in the Rocky mountains of Montana. Subscribe to our news letter for our current offerings.
Coming soon- Ponderosa salve made from local Montana pine resin. This has long been used as an antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflamatory. Use it on minor cuts, scrapes, bites and skin irritations. It also has drawing properties which are great at getting splinters out of little fingers. We use pine salve in our home during cold season to help relieve congestions when rubbed on our chests and throats.
